Elections in Tamil Nadu
Date is announced and we are going to select our own parasites! No ideals or policies... only seat sharing, matters them most.. .. I am happy atleast that now the politicians are coming out openly that it ( Politics ) is only an another BUSINESS where rascals and goondas can make profit ! So I am also ready to be foolled one more time! WHat to say and whome to vote?... when all are the same PIGs of a same nasty pond !

Respected Sir,
Read your comments, Could appreciate your frank in expression about Indian Politican. I always feel optimistic. Things will improve.. Politicians will have a feeling for the Nation and the people... Let us believe...A Better person rule us and Let us give a Good thinking before executing our Vote so that things change a little... ( I always feel that there should be some strict concept to be followed for selecting the contestants...An IAS like exam and the best scorer should be allowed to contest for the election..)... It is just my feelings for the Nation...

I do agree with your opinion, but this is the price we pay for democracy. There was a time when the political leaders were respected personalities of the society but not at present. Politicians act like filmy comedians although very few are exceptional. Like in any profession there should be some eliglblity criteria to become a politician. Only time can tell us.........

chella,
i have a vision. it could definitely come true once the right kind of person is in the chair (some kind of a real dictator probably)
1. only those who are paying income tax can cast their vote on verification of their PANs
2. any politician with a criminal record, any case pending against him, or even an FIR against him should not be allowed to participate
3. a minimum qualification of atleast a PG from a recognised university (higher designations demand higher qualifications) - or still better - An IAS level officer only will be allowed to participate in elections!!
4. each political aspirant should have put in atleast 20 years of service in some high level management cadre before entering the political arena
Chella, imagine what would happen if such criteria were imposed on monday morning for the forth coming elections! TOTAL confusion. We would be having total confusion and a whole load of criminals out of job!
But then when something is to change, a precipitation is bound to happen where most of the unwanted waste is thrown off.
India can do well without these precipitated wastes.
Our country is too beautiful to be wasted by such arrogant human beings who recognize like creatures only when the election dates are announced!

Dear Sir
It is good to read comments from different perspectives. I personally thought 'Vaiko' is different from our normal politicians. But he has categorically proved that he is not anyway different from any other politicians. His political move has damaged his political identity and integrity. Now he has become the symbol is political opportunitism and butt of ridicule.
In the past few years Vaiko has vociferously attacked Jeyalalitha on various issues, such as -LTTE, POTA, Corruption charges, Kovai Agri Uni students burnt, and various other matthers. Now he has joined his hands with those corrupt hands just for a few MLA seats.
These so called politicians in Tamilnadu think that people are fools - but people are not fools, they are closely watching the development and they will give a fitting reply on May 8th 2006.
