Who the hell are objecting Kushboo!
“Chastity symbolizes slavery of women and makes her anybody’s chattel,” is said by Periyar! But these grand sons & Tamil Media personalities are acting funny on Actress Kushboo's remarks and it is shame that many so called Tamil Lovers from the Periyar Tamil Movements are up in the arms. Even Bharathi doesnt like the partiality and said " Chastity should be for both men and women !". If that is the arguement then half of the males are proclaimed unchasty rascals! Soon what Kushboo said will be a reality and what they are going to do is to be seen. May be now they protest... then discuss... then they may accept the reality. This is my bold view. Let us wait and see.

Actor Vijayakanth Formed a Party
He got the best timing it seems! Tamil Cinema is the breeding ground of Politicians/ chief ministers for more than a few decades. Anna ( Actor, Play writer) started this wave and Kalaingar Karunanithi, MGR & Jayalalitha are holding that momentum intact. Even people of Kerala used to joke ," You people are choosing your Chiefministers not in the election but in the theatre itself". Sivaji failed... and T Rajendar failed... and now Vijayakanth is testing the waters.
I am watching him from the days of Sivappu Malli ( Erimalai Eppadi Porukkum Song!! ) when he portrayed a revolutionary angry young man. He has grown upto become a Captain ( after his role in Captain Prabhakaran ). He is called as Puratchik Kalaingar ! I really dont know why people are calling usual actors as Puratchithamilan, kalaingar etc. Mr Sathyaraj openly told that, " What Puratchi/revolution we have done? I dont know ! We acted in films and we are payed for that!". So let us see whether there is any real stuff coming out of his effort... in the coming days. India is ruled by a scientific President and a financial Prime minister... but Tamilnadu state... will never have one intelectual ruler in near future it seems !? - Chella

The great poor US, Katrina exposed that!
When Tsunami attacked our India, thousands of volunteers from many organisations reached the sites on there own in a day's time to provide relief. No one looted the properties and no law and order problem in both India and Srilanka. We behaved like humans. But nothing that sort of thing happened in US. People were helpless. Racism is exposed as one Musicians told openly in the public... " When a white man enters a super market he is SEARCHING FOR FOOD... but a black man is always " OUT FOR LOOTING "! The richest country in the world is the poorest in Human values... atleast at the time of calamities. We Indians should understand that our eastern values are priceless and we must strive hard to retain them. We need two natural calamities to show what is real and what is false pride.

How do we respond to Hurricane Katrina?
The following articles is written by an American Management Consultant Kathy Wells Paauw . I wondered how people are cheating after a natural disaster. In my last vist to Kanyakumari I have heard that many people become millionairs suddenly by syphoning the relief donations. This articles discusses the American Situation- Chella
My heart is very heavy right now. In addition to adjusting to being an empty-nester, I've been watching hours of televised coverage and reading about the completely inadequate response by our elected officials to the largest natural disaster in US history. I'm sad, angry, disappointed, and ashamed that the richest nation on earth has failed our most vulnerable citizens -- the poorest of the poor and the sick. My heart goes out to those heroic relief workers who are doing their level best to rescue the victims or provide essentials and medical care with so little resources and in such a dangerous environment.
Rather than focusing on where to point blame for the woefully inadequate response, I choose to focus on what I can do to help to the hundreds of thousands of people who feel utterly devastated as they try to put their shattered lives back together.
A colleague and client of mine lives in New Orleans. Although her home is still dry and sustained only minor damage (she is among the 20% minority), her city is gone and she cannot return home. Her business as she knew it is gone. She has moved in with her parents in a city two hours from her home, and she is sorting out her options. And she is one of the "lucky" ones.
One of the things that makes America so great is our ability to give so generously in times of need. Although this disaster seems bigger than life, I hope you don't give in to thinking you can't do enough to make a difference. You can and will make a difference! If each of us does something, we will make a huge difference...even if each of us only makes a difference to one person. Imagine if you were that one person.
Take action that goes above and beyond what you've ever done
before. Go outside of your comfort zone. Write a bigger check or open your home to someone who has lost theirs. If you don't have material resources to share, donate your time or services or put on a fundraiser.
If you want to help but are not sure how, here are a few well-established legitimate organizations you can donate to (and your donation will be tax-deductible):
A National Emergency Resource Registry has been created to register people who stand ready to provide housing, transportation, services, food, and personal items to victims of the disaster. If you want to help, go to www.nerr.gov to learn how, or click here to register. The NERR stands ready to assist the coordination efforts between the resources that are needed and the resources that may be available from the private and public sectors. If you or your organization / agency / corporation have resources or services that may be made available to the response agencies, please list them in this Resource Registry.
SCAM ALERT
Whenever there is a major disaster, scammers begin taking advantage by sending out charity relief scams. Online scammers continue to join the looters as more of the Hurricane Katrina scams make their way around the Net.
With all of the devastation, we are already seeing many kinds of scams specific to Hurricane Katrina. Here are some scams to watch out for:
- Chain letters: According to Anne Mitchell, aka Aunty Spam, the first email hoax was a request to forward the hoax because fifty cents would supposedly be donated to help victims for every copy of the email forwarded.
- Phishing scams: According to the Washington Post, a number of fraudulent websites have already been set up pretending to be legitimate Hurricane Katrina relief organizations. These sites request charitable donations, but in fact steal financial information and may be used for identity theft as well. Contributions, of course, go into the pockets of the scammers rather than to help people who desperately need it.
- New viruses and trojans: Spam is sent that includes photos of disaster areas or individual survivors, and these attachments contain computer viruses. For example, the Trojan, Cgab, is now related to a Hurricane Katrina email that is making the rounds. It provides full access to the victim's PC. According to CNN Money, the email headlines include: "Re: g8 Tropical storm flooded New Orleans" and "Re: g7 80 percent of our city underwater."
- Investment and security scams: According to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), emails are already making the rounds that tout specific stocks on the basis of activity related to Hurricane Katrina. For example, one email says that investors could more than double their money in just days on certain penny stocks because of "refinery glitches."
- Misleading emails trying to take advantage of the disaster to sell unrelated products. For example, I saw one that was trying to sell Viagra. The subjet line read "80 percent of our city underwater" and went on to describe the devastation. When you click on the "read more" it takes you to a Viagra site.
- Requests for individual donations to help their family members: One spam message of this type had two different spellings of the scammer's first name! Only give to individuals if you personally know and trust the source requesting the assistance.

Smiling beauty
She is one of my favourite actresses... a smiling beauty. She got a new look ! Read the story below...
Preity Zinta’s all-new look in Yashraj Films’ latest offering, Salaam Namaste, has become the talk of Bollywood. Her designer in charge, Manish Malhotra protégée Surily Goel, tells hitList how she did it…Says Surily, “The bottom line in styling Preity was that her character was supposed to be staying in Australia. So everything was sourced from there , even the jewellery.”
I too looked at this pic and bit amazed by the CHANGE! - Chella

Great Looking Sania Mirza on 4th round!
She is great looking. Sometimes she is caught in the play in some subtle sexy way by many lensmen... but she is also great power tennis too. She has gone to the 4th round in US open. She is already my desktop of the month in my computer. Is she becoming the next "tennis+beauty duo" in the line of Chris Evert, Gabriala Sebatini, Anna Kournikova and Sharapova!!?? But she is bit smart I think and concentrating more on sports and slo on Glamourdom. Hope now every player aware of the Kournikova syndrome! ( Not much tennis but great looks...but soon you will end up no where! ). Play well and then look well and then make wealth Sania! Congrats!

Who is the boss!
When the body was first created, all the parts wanted to be Boss. The brain said, "I should be Boss because I control all of the body's responses and functions." The feet said, "We should be Boss since we carry the brain about and get him to where he wants to go." The hands said, "We should be the Boss because we do all the work and earn all the money." Finally, the asshole spoke up. All the parts laughed at the idea of the asshole being the Boss. So, the asshole went on strike, blocked itself up and refused to work. Within a short time, the eyes became crossed, the hands clenched, the feet twitched, the heart and lungs began to panic, and the brain fevered. Eventually, they all decided that the asshole should be the Boss, so the motion was passed. All the other parts did all the work while the Boss just sat and passed out the shit!
Moral Of The Story: You don't need brains to be a Boss - any asshole will do.

You are wrong Dr Aravaanan!
Dr K.P Aravavan, a noted Tamil Educationist and ex vice chancellor of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University has told in a recent meeting, two baseless remarks. I would like to express my contra views here.
1. He said, "We are wasting a lot of energy and money on our present parliamentry democracy. So we have to follow LOT SYSTEM ( Thiruvulacheettu in Tamil ) to elect candidates". It is one of the most foolish remarks from a knowledgeable person in Tamil Nadu. Even he has beaten politicians. See the implications. Now present day elections are based on multipart democracy and most of the elections are fought on Issues! There is a marked difference between BJP and left wing ideology. If left wing government comes into power they may see how best the rural issues solved and if BJP comes into power they may go with their own agenda. People are choosing which one is the best for the present scenario and that is what going on here.
If the party in the power has not been upto the expectation of the people it is thrown into the dust... the best example is how Jayalaitha was defeated in the election 9 years ago. So if we follow the system profounded by Mr Aravaanan how will the idealogies will work. Can we leave the mankind's future to a toss! Imagine the toss will go to a person like Dhawood Ibrahim!!
2. He said that the invention of money was a sin! ... He is showing his ignorance in Economics too! How can we distribute wealth or power if there is no medium and no accountancy in place ?! ... Taking us to prehistoric days! People like him should not have become emotional in public. Sorry Mr Aravanan, a great Tamil Lover but a poor thinker!
