Dont do these NINE things in life!

Loved this one from a web profile!

9 Things I Hate About Everyone

1. People who point at their wrist
while asking for the time.... I know where my watch is
pal, where the
hell is yours? Do I point at my crotch when I ask
where the toilet is?

2. People who are willing to get off
their ass to search the entire room for the tv remote
because they
refuse to walk to the tv and change the channel
manually.

3. When people say "Oh you just want to have your cake
and eat it too". Damn right! What good is cake if you
can't eat it?

4. When people say "it's always the
last place you look". Of course it is. Why the hell
would you keep
looking after you've found it? Do people do this? Who
and where are
they? Gonna Kick their asses!

5. When people say while watching a
film "did you see that?". No Loser, I paid $12 to come
to the cinema
and stare at the damn floor.

6. People who ask "Can I ask you a question?"....
Didn't really give me a choice there, did ya sunshine?

7. When something is 'new and
improved!'. Which is it? If it's new, then there has
never been
anything before it. If it's an improvement, then there
must have been
something before it, couldn't be new.

8. When people say "life is short".
What the hell?? Life is the longest damn thing anyone
ever does!! What
can you do that's longer?

9. When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks
"Has the bus come yet?". If the bus came would I be
standing here, dumbass?

Political alliances must be banned in a democracy

In theory we selecting parties for their policies, ideals etc. But in practical scenario they are all doing business in the name of seatsharing. Kalaingar accused Viako as a murderer.. then Vaiko went out of the DMK and many died for the injustice to Vaiko... he opposed DMK and formed MDMK .. ..joined with Jayalaitha.. contested and lost ... and came back to DMK and they wept in public meetings... rejoicing their old love.. then cam out on seat sharing and joining with AIADMK ... all these things are very popular in TN. When they are all oppurtunistic.. why cant we the voters. If they change stances for a few crore of ruppes.. we can also change our stance & vote for a few hundred ruppes!! Ugly democrosy! BAN ALL ALLIANZES and this is the only way number of parties can be curtailed too!

A new party is floated, with a difference!

A new party is floated in north india. Dinamalar magazine today published a small info about the leader... sharing it with our readers ...

Read more to know some shocking truths

My Views: I visited their site with some hope. But shocked to see the Rigveda and "wisdom of the glorious past". They are enough to go against this another high tech party. India's past glory is a myth. People are/were sucked their blood by hardworking conditions and millions of people who are really productive are made slaves in the name of sutras and manu dharmas. So these IIT tech people wanna fight anti corruption in the name Rigveda and past glory is like.. for a small insect ... burning your own house. Sorry, tamilnadu is something different my dear Sanathanavaadis or past glory fanatics.

I just wanted to know when Indias Glorious Past existed? What was the litteracy rate in those time. How the Percapita income was better than anyother country? What is the country called Bharath? IS that a proper country are a general symbolic name for a kaliedoscopic culture or a geographical meaning beyond Indus river? ( Dont say other YUga calculations/stories LOL! )Dont hide behind your glorious degrees and this socio-political-economy issues are better discussed by people of tamilnadu than anyone though we vote to film stars. It is nothing but addiction to art forgetting the reality. We will come up at our own pace. We have seen People like Kamaraj and periyar! Sorry youngsters.. you can not bring the socio economical revolution in this way.. you may take india to backwards and you wont be able to go beyong egroups with basic flaws!

One nice poem by Blogger Veda !

I came accross one interesting blog by Veda ( while I was searching for the above article) . This particular poem is thought stirring one. Sharing it with our readers... Click here to read that poem

Who is to be blamed for Indian failure in Olympics?

Today I opened the Tv to watch DD sports. One young Boxer Jitendra Kumar fighting heavily with an English Boxer. He fought bravely and lost in the final round on Points. Still he has earned a Bronze Medal for the country. How many of us watched the match. In an another scene all my friends are heavilly discussing about India's loss in Cricket as if that is the only sports played in our country. But when India fails in sports in olympic we all blame everyone ... from the system to politicians to coaches to the athlets. What rights we have to raise those question again and again. We all seeing only cricket and nowadays a bit of tennis in TV. When we watch more and more more sponsers for the game ! More money to the organisations and athlets. If we all going on watching only cricket and not anyother sports then no sponsers, no money, no motivation from the youngsters to take the sports... this chain reaction results in NO MEDALS. So as a simple Indian what we must do to change this ? Answer is also sim-ple... Watch more sports.. discuss the feats of persons like Jitendra Kumar, who are fighting ( by facing all those Punches) for the country with your friends, going to the local stadium with your friends for watching the athletics... etc OR SIMPLY BLAME INDIA FOR NOT WINNING THE GOLD! The ball is in your hands now! - Chella

My friend senthil came on Chat and told me... " Sir Charunivethitha also started writing like you"... and sent me the link. I read those pages fully and found the contents are excellent and thought provoking... mainly on the jessica murder case and Salman Khan case. After reading i wonder who are tribals ?... We OR the people in the forests? Indians city-zens should think? Read that article here

A touching incident ... read it in full

At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves learning-disabled children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its dedicated staff, he offered a question: "When not interfered with by outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection. Yet my son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my son?" The audience was stilled by the query. The father continued. "I believe, that when a child like Shay, physically and mentally handicapped comes into the world!, an opportunity to realize true human nature presents itself, and it comes, in the way other people treat that child. "Then he told the following story: Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were playing baseball. Shay asked,” Do you think they'll let me play?" Shay's father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play, it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.

Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked if Shay could play, not expecting much. The boy looked around for guidance and said, "We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth inning." Shay struggled over to the team's bench put on a team shirt with a broad smile and his Father had a small tear in his eye and warmth in his heart. The boys saw the father's joy at his son being accepted. In the bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was obviously ecstatic just to be in the game and on the field, grinning from ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Shay's team scored again.

Now, with two outs and the bases loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be next at bat. At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible 'cause Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat properly, much less connect with the ball. However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing theother team putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved ina few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least be able tomake contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towardsShay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow groundball right back to t he pitcher. The game would now be over, but the pitcher picked up the soft grounder and could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have been out and that would have been the end of the game.Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the head of the firstbaseman, out of reach of all teammates. Everyone from the stands and bothteams started yelling, "Shay, run to first! Run to first!" Never in hislife had Shay ever ran that far but made it to first base. He scampereddown the baseline, wide-eyed and startled. Everyone yelled, "Run to second, run to second!" Catching his breath, Shay awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to second base.

By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had the ball, the smallest guy on their team, who had a chance to be the hero for his team for the first time. He could have thrown the ball to the second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions and he too intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's head. Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him circled the bases toward home. All were screaming, "Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay" Shay reached third base, the opposing shortstop ran to help him and turned him in the direction of third base, and shouted, "Run to third! Shay, run to third" As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams and those watching were on their feet were screaming, "Shay, run home! Shay ran to home, stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the "grand slam" and won the game for his team. That day, said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face, the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity into this world. Shay didn't make it to another summer and died that winter, having never forgotten being the hero and making his Father so happy and coming home and seeing his Mother tearfully embrace her little hero of the day!

AND, NOW A LITTLE FOOTNOTE TO THIS STORY: We all send thousands of jokes through the e-mail without a second thought, but when it comes to sending messages about life choices, people think twice about sharing. The crude, vulgar, and often obscene pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion about decency is too often suppressed in our schools and workplaces. If you're thinking about forwarding this message, chances are that you're probably sorting out the people on your address list that aren't the "appropriate" ones to receive this type of message. Well, the person who sent you this believes that we all can make a difference. We all have thousands of opportunities every single day to help realize the "natural order of things." So many seemingly trivial interactions between two people present us with a choice: Do we pass along a little spark of love and humanity or do we pass up that opportunity to brighten the day of those with us the least able, and leave the world a little bit colder in the process? A wise man once said every society is judged by how it treats it's least fortunate amongst them.

Feminine greatness ! ( World Women's day! )

"It is the long condemnation of feminine qualities that has gone deep into the blood and the bones of women. It is man's conspiracy to prove himself superior to women -- which he is not. And to prove that the woman is weak, he has to condemn all the feminine qualities. He has to say that they are all weak, and all those qualities together make the woman weak. In fact, the woman has all the great qualities in her. And whenever a man becomes awakened, he attains to the same qualities which he has been condemning in women. The qualities that are thought to be weak are all the feminine qualities. And it is a strange fact that all the great qualities come into that category. What is left are only the brutal qualities, animal qualities.

Love, trust, beauty, sincerity, truthfulness, authenticity -- these are all feminine qualities, and they are far greater than any qualities that man has. But the whole past has been dominated by man and his qualities". - OSHO

How to manage your anger?

It is one of the toughest task for any human being. I came across an interesting mail from OSHO  and it is very interesting. Sharing with my readers as it is... -Chella

The psychology of anger is that you wanted something, and somebody prevented you from getting it. Somebody came as a block, as an obstacle. Your whole energy was going to get something and somebody blocked the energy. You could not get what you wanted. Now this frustrated energy becomes anger...anger against the person who has destroyed the possibility of fulfilling your desire. You cannot prevent anger because anger is a by-product, but you can do something else so that the by-product does not happen at all. In life, remember one thing: never desire anything so intensely as if it is a question of life and death. Be a little playful. I am not saying, don’t desire — because that will become a repression in you.

I am saying, desire but let your desire be playful. If you can get it, good. If you cannot get it, perhaps it was not the right time; we will see next time. Learn something of the art of the player. We become so identified with the desire, then when it is blocked or prevented our own energy becomes fire; it burns you. And in that state of almost insanity you can do anything, for which you are going to repent. It can create a series of events that your whole life may get entangled with. Because of this, for thousands of years, they have been saying, “Become desireless.” Now that is asking something inhuman. Even the people who have said, “Become desireless” have also given you a motive, a desire: if you become desireless you will attain to the ultimate freedom of moksha, nirvana. That too is a desire. You can repress desire for some bigger desire, and you may even forget that you are still the same person. You have only changed the target. Certainly, there are not many people who are trying to get moksha, so you will not have any great competition. In fact, people will be very happy that you have started going towards moksha — one competitor less in life. But as far as you are concerned nothing has changed. And if anything can be created which disturbs your desire for moksha, again the anger will flare up. And this time it will be far bigger, because now the desire is far bigger. Anger is always proportionate to desire.

I have heard.... There were three monasteries, Christian monasteries, very close together in the forest. One day three monks met at the crossroads. They were coming from the villages back to their monasteries; each belonged to a different monastery. They were tired. They sat down under the trees and started talking about something to pass the time. One man said, “One thing you will have to accept is that as far as scholarship is concerned, learning is concerned, our monastery is the best.” The other monk said, “I agree, it is true. Your people are far more scholarly, but as far as austerities are concerned, discipline is concerned, spiritual training is concerned, you don’t come anywhere near to our monastery. And remember, scholarship will not be able to help you realize the truth. It is only spiritual discipline, and we are the best as far as spiritual discipline is concerned.” The third monk said, “You are both right. The first monastery is best in learning, scholarship. The second monastery is best in spiritual discipline, austerities, fasting. But as far as humbleness, egolessness is concerned, we are the tops.” Humbleness, egolessness...but the man seemed to be absolutely unaware of what he was saying: “As far as humbleness, egolessness is concerned, we are the tops.” Even humbleness can become an ego trip. Egolessness can become an ego trip.

One has to be very aware. You should not try to stop anger. You should not, in any way, keep the anger controlled, otherwise it will burn you, it will destroy you. What I am saying is: you have to go to the roots. The root is always some desire which has been blocked, and the frustration has created the anger. Don’t take desires very seriously. Don’t take anything seriously. It is unfortunate that no religion in the world has accepted the sense of humor as one of the basic qualities for the religious man. I want you to understand that a sense of humor, playfulness, should be the fundamental qualities. You should not take things so seriously, then anger does not arise. You can simply laugh at the whole thing. You can start laughing at yourself. You can start laughing at situations in which you would have been angry and mad. Use playfulness, a sense of humor, laughter. It is a big world, and there are millions of people. Everybody is trying to get to something. It is very natural that sometimes people may get into each other’s ways — not that they want to, it is just the situation, it is accidental.

The great Chinese Torture !

That is one kind of extreme excution the chinese use only on the worst crimes, like killing ur own parents , rape, incest, or offend the emperor or kill alot of ppl or repeat offenders.

the execution is like this

  • the execution last 3 days
  • the prisoner will totally recieve around 1000 cuts(each day cut around 350 times)
  • if the prisoner die before the cut numbers the execution will still continue till hit the number
  • the equipment of the execution is sharp knife and the tougne looking thing u see in the picture.
  • the cut will start on big muscles, then smaller parts of of flesh. and finally genitals and inner organs.
  • the prisoner will be fed on a large portion of opiam that is y the man see in the picture is kinda smelling....'

To cool down a bit from the above shocking cruel info ... a lighter side of the chinese torture ..

A young man was lost wandering in a forest, when he came upon a small house. He knocked on the door and was greeted by an ancient Chinese man with a long, grey beard. "I'm lost," said the man. "Can you put me up for the night?"
"Certainly," the Chinese man said, "but on one condition. If you so much as lay a finger on my daughter, I will inflict upon you the three worst Chinese tortures known to man."

"Ok," said the man, thinking that the daughter must be pretty old as well, and entered the house.

Before dinner, the daughter came down the stairs. She was young, beautiful, and had a fantastic figure. She was obviously attracted to the young man since she couldn't keep her eyes off him during the meal. Remembering the old man's warning, he ignored her and went up to bed alone. But during he night, he could bear it no longer, and sneaked into her room for a night of passion. He was careful to keep everything quiet so the old man wouldn't hear. Near dawn he crept back to his room, exhausted, but happy.

He woke to feel a pressure on his chest. Opening his eyes he saw a large rock on his chest with a note on it that read, "Chinese Torture 1: Large rock on chest." "Well, that's pretty crappy," he thought. "If that's the best the old man can do then I don't have much to worry about." He picked the boulder up, walked over to the window and threw the boulder out. As he did so he noticed another note on it that read: "Chinese Torture 2: Rock tied to left testicle." In a panic he glanced down and saw the rope that was already getting close to the end. Figuring that a few broken bones was better than castration, he jumped out of the window after the boulder. As he plummeted downward he saw a large sign on the ground that read, "Chinese Torture 3: Right testicle tied to bedpost."

I laughed and laughed on seeing this joke sent by my friend from Brazil, a cute latino teacher - Chella

A Spiritual NONSENSE at Velliyangiri ...

Many of us would have gone to Isha Yoga center at Velliyangiri adivaram.. near Coimbatore...  popularly known as Dhyanalingam. I too went a few times for meditations. One of my friend came back after 7 days of Samyama.. so I know what is going on, a bit.

The issue is, they say, they are the worshipers of Vana Shree ( Forest God ). But what they do on the Maha Shivarathri is a NONSENSE! They litterally lit the area with a few thousand Lights and in the name of meditation or celebration they creat sounds of a few thousands watts... having no regard for the fauna/ animal life in that area located at the edge of the forest. Thousands of cars, and vehicles adds to the air pollution... and in the entire exercise you can see their double standards, having no regard for the natural serenity of the holy hill and forest.

Last year drums player Siva mani... worlds best/fastest !! ... but i dont know whether they are aware of people like Rick Allen,"Kenny" (or Kenney) Jones ..., came and blasted or added great noise to the otherwise silent, animals rich forest and this year Remo it seems. I dont blame these musicians... since I know Sivamani from his days at OSHO and Mr Remo has personally sent me a card in those Bombay city days!

If PSG institutions could not build their education institutions in Anaikatti forests... how come this Guru is allowed to convert acres of agri land very near to the forest to build halls, residential complex and guest houses.. by converting a rich natural jungle into brown colured concrete jungles ? I know the masks of the indian gurus very well... and aware of Mr Jaggis Chicken eating Tirupur days.. where he started his spiritual business... ( in those days he was reporting to Vinay & Dutta of Bangalore... in the name of an instructor of Sahajasthithi yoga ... originally their [Vinay & Dutta's idea] along with some friends. I came to know that Pankaj Raveendran is now in Madurai!!

I dont want to go deep into his personal issues but can he show some responsibility by bringing down those few thousand watts or noise pollution in the midnight at the EDGE of the natural forest?? If they dont... we can assume that planting trees at Velliyangiri and Removing bags at the foothills is nothing but a publicity stunt or an answer to their guilty consciousness !

Those who share my views can mail them at yogacentre@ishafoundation.org ... to stop THIS NONSENSE!

Shiva will be angry on REMO if he performed with a few thousands watts of light and sound at the edge of the forest at midnight !!

A story on time management

One day an expert in time management was speaking to a group of business students and, to drive home a point, used an illustration those students will never forget.

As he stood in front of the group of high-powered over-achievers, he said, "Okay, time for a quiz." He then pulled out a one-gallon wide-mouth mason jar and set it on the table in front of him. Then he produced about a dozen fist-sized rocks and carefully placed them, one by one, into the jar. When the jar was filled to the top and no more rocks would fit inside, he asked, "Is this jar full?" Everyone in the class said, "Yes." Then he said, "Really?" He reached under the table and pulled out a bucket of gravel. Then he dumped some gravel in and shook the jar, causing pieces of gravel to work themselves down into the space between the big rocks. Then he asked the group once more. "Is this jar full?" By this time the class was on to him. "Probably not." one of them answered. "Good!" he replied.

He reached under the table and brought out a bucket of sand. He started dumping the sand in the jar and it went into all the spaces left between the rocks and the gravel. Once more he asked the question. "Is this jar full?" "No!" the class shouted. Once again, he said, "Good!" Then he grabbed a pitcher of water and began to pour it in until the jar was filled to the brim. Then the expert in time management looked at the class and asked, "What is the point of this illustration?" One eager beaver raised his hand and said, "The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard you can always fit some more things in it." "No", the speaker replied, "that's not the point.

The truth this illustration teaches us is this: If you don't put the big rocks in first, you'll never get them in at all. What are the big rocks in your life? Your children, your spouse, your loved ones, your friendships, your education, your dreams, an worthy cause, teaching or mentoring others, doing things that you love, time for yourself, your health. Remember to put these BIG ROCKS in first, or you'll never get them in at all. If you sweat the little stuff (i.e. gravel, the sand) then you'll fill your life with little things you will never have the real quality time you need to spend on the big, important stuff (the big rocks)." So, tonight, or in the morning, when you are reflecting on this short story, ask yourself this question: What are the "big rocks" in my life? Then put those in your jar first.

Who was Saint Valentine?

Who was Saint Valentine and how did he become associated with this ancient rite? Today, the Catholic Church recognizes at least three different saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were martyred.

One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men -- his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.

Other stories suggest that Valentine may have been killed for attempting to help Christians escape harsh Roman prisons where they were often beaten and tortured.

According to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first 'valentine' greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl -- who may have been his jailor's daughter -- who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed 'From your Valentine,' an expression that is still in use today. Although the truth behind the Valentine legends is murky, the stories certainly emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic, and, most importantly, romantic figure. It's no surprise that by the Middle Ages, Valentine was one of the most popular saints in England and France.

A young woman was taking an afternoon nap. After she woke up, she told her husband, "I just dreamed that you gave me a pearl necklace for Valentine's day. What do you think it means?"

"You'll know tonight." he said.

That evening, the man came home with a small package and gave it to his wife. Delighted, she opened it--only to find a book entitled "The meaning of dreams".

Sexual Double standards of Society

Homosexuality is perpetuated by the society and condemned by the same society. These strategies have to be understood. The same society condemns the homosexual, calls him perverted, criminal. There are still countries where homosexuality is punished, you can be sent to jail for ten years. There have been countries where a homosexual could have been sentenced to death! And it is the same society that creates it!

You divide man and woman apart so much, you create watertight compartments. And when the man wants to love he cannot find the woman, and the woman wants to love and she cannot find a man. Then, whatsoever is available... she starts falling in love with a woman, he starts falling in love with a man. And it is not satisfying either, but it is better than nothing. Nature has to find its way. If you don't allow the natural course, it will find some roundabout way. Otherwise homosexuality is a natural phase; it passes by itself.

Do we know these facts?

  • How do reindeers survive in the extreme cold? Most animals don’t eat moss. It’s hard to digest, and it has little nutritional value. But reindeer fill up with lots of moss. Why? The moss contains a special chemical that helps reindeer keep their body fluids warm. When the reindeer make their yearly journey across the icy Arctic region, the chemical keeps them from freezing—much as antifreeze keeps a car from freezing up in winter
  • The female lion does more than 90% of the hunting while the male simply prefers to rest!
  • The vocabulary of the average person consists of 5,000 to 6,000 words
  • No word in the English language rhymes with "month"
  • The word "racecar", "kayak", and "radar" are the same whether they are read left to right or right to left.
  • A flute made of bone is the oldest playable musical instrument in the world. It’s a flute carved from a bird’s wing bone more than 9,000 years ago. The flute was discovered with other flutes at an ancient burial site in China.
  • The vagina and the eye are self-cleaning organs !!

Why I killed Gandhi ? Godse's Original words

When I was searching for the R'day topics my web search lead me to many interesting subjects. One shock I got is on reading Godse's last official words ... Even the people who had gathered in court room were strongly felt for him.  The judge who convicted Nathuram was on record saying that had the public been the jury, Nathuram Godse would have been surely aquitted. -  Chella

In the pic (L to R) :Nathuram Godse, Narayan Apte and Vishnu Karkare

Here is his speach ...

" Born in a devotional Brahmin family, I instinctively came to revere Hindu religion, Hindu history and Hindu culture. I had, therefore, been intensely  proud of Hinduism as a whole. As I grew up I developed a tendency to free  thinking unfettered by any superstitious allegiance to any isms, political  or religious. That is why I worked actively for the eradication of  untouchability and the caste system based on birth alone. I openly joined  anti-caste movements and maintained that all Hindus were of equal status as  to rights, social and religious and should be considered high or low on merit  alone and not through the accident of birth in a particular caste or  profession. I used publicly to take part in organized anti-caste dinners  in which thousands of Hindus, Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaisyas, Chamars  and Bhangis participated. We broke the caste rules and dined in the  company of each other.

I have read the speeches and writings of Dadabhai Naoroji, Vivekanand,  Gokhale, Tilak, along with the books of ancient and modern history of  India and some prominent countries like England, France, America and'  Russia. Moreover I studied the tenets of Socialism and Marxism. But above  all I studied very closely whatever Veer Savarkar and Gandhiji had written  and spoken, as to my mind these two ideologies have contributed more to  the moulding of the thought and action of the Indian people during the last  thirty years or so, than any other single factor has done.

All this reading and thinking led me to believe it was my first duty to  serve Hindudom and Hindus both as a patriot and as a world citizen.  To secure the freedom and to safeguard the just interests of some thirty  crores (300 million) of Hindus would automatically constitute the freedom  and the well-being of all India, one fifth of human race. This conviction  led me naturally to devote myself to the Hindu Sanghtanist ideology  and programme, which alone, I came to believe, could win and preserve  the national independence of Hindustan, my Motherland, and enable her to
render true service to humanity as well.

Since the year 1920, that is, after the demise of Lokamanya Tilak,  Gandhiji's influence in the Congress first increased and then became  supreme. His activities for public awakening were phenomenal in their  intensity and were reinforced by the slogan of truth and non-violence  which he paraded ostentatiously before the country. No sensible or  enlightened person could object to those slogans. In fact there is nothing  new or original in them. They are implicit in every constitutional  public movement. But it is nothing but a mere dream if you imagine  that the bulk of mankind is, or can ever become, capable of scrupulous  adherence to these lofty principles in its normal life from day to day.  In fact, hunour, duty and love of one's own kith and kin and country might  often compel us to disregard non-violence and to use force. I could never  conceive that an armed resistance to an aggression is unjust. I would
consider it a religious and moral duty to resist and, if possible, to  overpower such an enemy by use of force. [In the Ramayana] Rama killed  Ravana in a tumultuous fight and relieved Sita. [In the Mahabharata],  Krishna killed Kansa to end his wickedness; and Arjuna had to fight  and slay quite a number of his friends and relations including the
revered Bhishma because the latter was on the side of the aggressor.  It is my firm belief that in dubbing Rama, Krishna and Arjuna as guilty  of violence, the Mahatma betrayed a total ignorance of the springs of  human action.

In more recent history, it was the heroic fight put up by Chhatrapati  Shivaji that first checked and eventually destroyed the Muslim tyranny  in India. It was absolutely essentially for Shivaji to overpower and kill an aggressive Afzal Khan, failing which he would have lost his own life. In condemning history's towering warriors like Shivaji, Rana Pratap and Guru Gobind Singh as misguided patriots, Gandhiji has merely exposed his self-conceit. He was, paradoxical as it may appear, a violent pacifist who brought untold calamities on the country in the name of truth and
non-violence, while Rana Pratap, Shivaji and the Guru will remain enshrined in the hearts of their countrymen for ever for the freedom they brought to them.

The accumulating provocation of thirty-two years, culminating in his last pro-Muslim fast, at last goaded me to the conclusion that the existence of Gandhi should be brought to an end immediately. Gandhi had done very good in South Africa to uphold the rights and well-being of the Indian community there. But when he finally returned to India he developed a subjective mentality under which he alone was to be the final judge of what was right or wrong. If the country wanted his leadership, it had to accept his infallibility; if it did not, he would stand aloof from the Congress and carry on his own way. Against such an attitude there can be no halfway house. Either Congress had to surrender its will to his and had to be content with playing second fiddle to all his eccentricity, whimsicality, metaphysics and primitive vision, or it had to carry on without him. He alone was the Judge of everyone and every thing; he was
the master brain guiding the civil disobedience movement; no other could know the technique of that movement. He alone knew when to begin and when to withdraw it. The movement might succeed or fail, it might bring untold disaster and political reverses but that could make no difference to the Mahatma's infallibility. 'A Satyagrahi can never fail'
was his formula for declaring his own infallibility and nobody except himself knew what a Satyagrahi is.

Thus, the Mahatma became the judge and jury in his own cause. These childish insanities and obstinacies, coupled with a most severe austerity of life, ceaseless work and lofty character made Gandhi formidable and irresistible. Many people thought that his politics were irrational but they had either to withdraw from the Congress or place their
intelligence at his feet to do with as he liked. In a position of such absolute irresponsibility Gandhi was guilty of blunder after blunder, failure after failure, disaster after disaster.

Gandhi's pro-Muslim policy is blatantly in his perverse attitude on the question of the national language of India. It is quite obvious that Hindi has the most prior claim to be accepted as the premier language. In the beginning of his career in India, Gandhi gave a great impetus to Hindi but as he found that the Muslims did not like it, he became a champion of what is called Hindustani. Everybody in India knows that there is no language called Hindustani; it has no grammar; it has no vocabulary. It is a mere dialect, it is spoken, but not written. It is a bastard tongue and cross-breed between Hindi and Urdu, and not even the Mahatma's sophistry could make it popular. But in his
desire to please the Muslims he insisted that Hindustani alone should be the national language of India. His blind followers, of course,  supported him and the so-called hybrid language began to be used. The charm and purity of the Hindi language was to be prostituted to please the Muslims. All his experiments were at the expense of the Hindus.

From August 1946 onwards the private armies of the Muslim League began a massacre of the Hindus. The then Viceroy, Lord Wavell, though distressed at what was happening, would not use his powers under the Government of India Act of 1935 to prevent the rape, murder and arson. The Hindu blood began to flow from Bengal to Karachi with some retaliation by the Hindus. The Interim Government formed in September was sabotaged by its Muslim League members right from its inception, but the more they became disloyal and treasonable to the government of which they were a part, the greater was Gandhi's infatuation for them. Lord Wavell had to resign as he could not bring about a settlement and he was succeeded by Lord Mountbatten. King Log was followed by King Stork.  The Congress which had boasted of its nationalism and socialism secretly accepted Pakistan literally at the point of the bayonet and
abjectly surrendered to Jinnah. India was vivisected and one-third of  the Indian territory became foreign land to us from August 15, 1947. Lord Mountbatten came to be described in Congress circles as the greatest Viceroy and Governor-General this country ever had. The official date for handing over power was fixed for June 30, 1948, but
Mountbatten with his ruthless surgery gave us a gift of vivisected India ten months in advance. This is what Gandhi had achieved after thirty years of undisputed dictatorship and this is what Congress party calls 'freedom' and 'peaceful transfer of power'. The Hindu-Muslim unity bubble was finally burst and a theocratic state was established
with the consent of Nehru and his crowd and they have called 'freedom won by them with sacrifice' - whose sacrifice? When top leaders of Congress, with the consent of Gandhi, divided and tore the country - which we consider a deity of worship - my mind was filled with direful anger.

One of the conditions imposed by Gandhi for his breaking of the fast unto death related to the mosques in Delhi occupied by the Hindu refugees. But when Hindus in Pakistan were subjected to violent attacks he did not so much as utter a single word to protest and censure the Pakistan Government or the Muslims concerned. Gandhi was shrewd enough to know that while undertaking a fast unto death, had he imposed for its break some condition on the Muslims in Pakistan, there would have been found hardly any Muslims who could have shown some grief if the fast had ended in his death. It was for this reason that he purposely avoided imposing any condition on the Muslims. He was fully aware of from the experience that Jinnah was not at all perturbed or influenced by his fast and the Muslim League hardly attached any value to the inner voice of Gandhi.

Gandhi is being referred to as the Father of the Nation. But if that is so, he had failed his paternal duty inasmuch as he has acted very  treacherously to the nation by his consenting to the partitioning of it. I stoutly maintain that Gandhi has failed in his duty. He has proved to be the Father of Pakistan. His inner-voice, his spiritual power and his doctrine of non-violence of which so much is made of, all crumbled before Jinnah's iron will and proved to be powerless.

Briefly speaking, I thought to myself and foresaw I shall be totally ruined, and the only thing I could expect from the people would be nothing but hatred and that I shall have lost all my honour, even more valuable than my life, if I were to kill Gandhiji. But at the same time I felt that the Indian politics in the absence of Gandhiji would surely be proved practical, able to retaliate, and would be powerful with armed forces. No doubt, my own future would be totally ruined, but the nation would be saved from the inroads of Pakistan. People may even call me and dub me as devoid of any sense or foolish, but the nation would be free to follow the course founded on the reason which I consider to be necessary for sound nation-building. After having fully considered the question, I took the final decision in the matter, but I did not speak about it to anyone whatsoever. I took courage in both my hands and I did fire the shots at Gandhiji on 30th January 1948, on the prayer-grounds of Birla House.

I do say that my shots were fired at the person whose policy and action had brought rack and ruin and destruction to millions of Hindus. There was no legal machinery by which such an offender could be brought to book and for this reason I fired those fatal shots.  I bear no ill will towards anyone individually but I do say that I had no respect for the present government owing to their policy which was unfairly favourable towards the Muslims. But at the same time I could clearly see that the policy was entirely due to the presence of Gandhi. I have to say with great regret that Prime Minister Nehru quite forgets that his preachings and deeds are at times at variances with each other when he talks about India as a secular state in season and out of season, because it is significant to note that Nehru has played a
leading role in the establishment of the theocratic state of Pakistan, and his job was made easier by Gandhi's persistent policy of appeasement towards the Muslims.

I now stand before the court to accept the full share of my responsibility for what I have done and the judge would, of course, pass against me such orders of sentence as may be considered proper. But I would like to add that I do not desire any mercy to be shown to me, nor do I wish that anyone else should beg for mercy on my behalf. My confidence about the moral side of my action has not been shaken even by the criticism levelled against it on all sides. I have no doubt that honest writers of history will weigh my act and find the true value thereof some day
 in future. "

My R'day thoughts!

Happy to watch the Republic day parade of India. If there is one place you can understand the vast diversity of Indian Subcontinent then this is the day. Happy to see our Kalam, waving his hands to the youth of India. Saudi king , the chief Guest also impressed a lot on seeing the diversity of the country. No country can be boast of such a vast cultural diversity and unity. In this day i would like to remember some of the galant Indian youths. Bhagath Singh like leftist youths fought for the country by giving their life.

Many think that India got its freedom by Gandhian struggle. But it is only an half truth. Without Bhagath Singh, Sughadev, Netaji etc etc Indian freedon would have been a dream. A person like Churchil could have handled Gandhian movement for a few more decades! The indian gallantry, unrest and Labour Party came into power in England are some of the reasons for our independence. In this day i would like to remember one such brave youth ... Udham Singh, aperson who took revenge for Jalian Wala Bhagh Masacre ... that too in England soil ! Some of his last words before he was hanged in UK ....

"I did it because I had a grudge against him (Sir Michael O'Dwyer) , he deserved it. I don't belong to any society or anything else. I don't care, I don't mind dying. What is the use of waiting until you get old? That is no good ... Is Zetland dead? He ought to be, I put two in him. I bought the revolver from a soldier in a public house. My parents died when I was 3 or 4 ... Only the one dead, eh? I thought I could get more." Read more

What these Japanese women holding in their hand!?

The Hounen festival at Tagata shrine is one of the most famous (or infamous?) festivals in Japan. Every year on March 15 a huge two and a half meter wooden phallus is carried the short distance between two shrines attracting visitors from all over Japan and international media attention. The festival is fun with a lot of sake drinking; however the background of the festival is rather more serious.

Hounen means bountiful year and like many cultures, Japan had numerous fertility rituals appealing to gods or spirits for a good harvest. Spring is the time of regeneration where seeds sprout and dormant trees and plants that seem to be dead come back to life.

The Hounen festival pays veneration to a female deity, Tamahime-no-mikoto, embodying agricultural fertility. Every year at the height of winter a new phallus is made from a single Japanese cypress tree and carved according to strict ritual. According to Shinto traditions newly made objects posses vitality. The phallus is a gift to the deity, which accompanies her visiting husband once a year.
